Aborting Messages in a Document Message Queue

Messages can be aborted from a document message queue to stop SmartComm from processing the message.

NOTE: The ABORT option is only available for messages with an Error status in the message queue.

Follow the steps below to abort a message from being processed by SmartComm.

  1. From the SmartSolve Portal page, click the SmartComm tab > Email Notification section > Document Queue section > Document Secondary Format.
  2. Select the applicable Document Queue to view from the Document Message Queue list.
  3. Right-click on the applicable message.
  4. Select the Abort from the list of available options.
    Result: The message is set to the ABORT status. However, the status is not visible in the User Interface. During the next processing cycle, the items with an ABORT status are removed from SmartComm queue.
