Messaging Queues

Background queues are maintained within the system, and queued operations are processed one item at a time. System administrators can clear errors from the queues, and can abort items from the Document Secondary Format queue.

SmartComm can be set to log the start and end of each queue process.

Enabling SmartComm Logging

To enable SmartComm logging, set FILELOG=TRUE in the SmartComm.exe.configuration file. The default setting for Logging is FALSE.

NOTE: It is not recommended to leave Logging turned On continuously since logging is best used only for a specific time period for debugging purposes.
