Exporting Report Models

Exporting a report model allows a report designer to transfer a report model from one environment to another by exporting the report model to a local or network directory. See Importing Report Models to import a saved report model to a new environment.

Follow the steps below to export a report model.

1. Access the Report Model Designer.
2. Select Setup > Report Model from the SmartInsight Designer main menu.
   Result: The SmartInsight Model Designer window is displayed.
3. Open an existing Report Model.
4. From the Report Model main menu select Report Model > Export.
   Result: A prompt is displayed asking if you would like to Save or Open the Report Model file. This step may vary depending on the user's browser settings.

5. Click the Save button when prompted to Save or Open the Report Model file.
   Result: The Report Model is saved.

6. Click the Close button or the X when the download has completed prompt is displayed.
